Remembering the Victims of the Nazi Regime
The Tour Experience
Please note - the tour is for a group of up to 12 people in a walking tour and up to 8 by car. If your group is larger, let's talk through "contact" page. Embark on a poignant journey through Berlin's history with our Third Reich Tour, focusing on the diverse victims of the Nazi regime. This tour highlights the often-overlooked narratives of marginalized groups who suffered under totalitarian rule. We will begin at the Memorial for Sinti and Roma, where we will reflect on the persecution faced by these communities during the Holocaust. Learn about their struggles and resilience, as well as the importance of remembering their stories in the context of contemporary society. Next, we will visit the Soviet Memorial, a tribute to the Soviet soldiers who fell during the Battle of Berlin. This site serves as a reminder of the complex history of World War II and the sacrifices made in the fight against fascism. Our journey continues to the Homosexual Memorial, dedicated to the LGBTQ+ individuals persecuted under the Nazi regime. Here, we will discuss the impact of Nazi policies on sexual minorities and the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ rights in the aftermath of the war. Finally, we will pay tribute at the Memorial for Georg Elser, a German carpenter who attempted to assassinate Hitler in 1939. Discover his courageous act of resistance and the consequences he faced for standing against tyranny. This tour aims to honor the memory of those who suffered under the Nazi regime and to promote understanding of the diverse experiences of its victims. Join us as we remember the past and reflect on the lessons it holds for our future.
